Some dogs only need a few minutes outside before they find their own kind of fun.
And for these two puppies, that fun was a muddy puddle in the middle of a field.
At first, both of them simply ran outside like usual. The field was wide, the air was fresh, and the ground was still damp after the rain. To two playful little dogs, everything looked far too exciting to ignore.
Their owner probably thought they would just run around for a short while and then come back.
But for these two mischievous pups, “a short while” quickly turned into a wild little adventure.
The moment they spotted the muddy puddle, they rushed straight toward it.
No hesitation.
No second thoughts.
No memory at all of being told to stay clean.
One puppy jumped in first, splashing mud everywhere. The other saw the fun and immediately followed. Soon, both of them were running in circles, rolling around, and playing with all their energy.

The puppies were taken home in the muddiest condition possible.
Their legs still moved a little.
Their eyes still looked back toward the field.
As if, given one more chance, they would run straight back to the puddle again.
But this time, there was no second chance.
The muddy party was over.
And what waited for them next was the one thing they could not escape — bath time.

Even though the two puppies had to be carried home for a bath, deep down, they probably thought the whole adventure was worth it.
