Deep in a lush green forest, two enormous adult tigers were resting peacefully beneath the shade of a large tree. Their golden fur and bold black stripes stood out against the grass, causing every animal nearby to keep a safe distance.
Suddenly, a tiny white cat appeared in the distance and slowly walked toward them. The little cat showed no fear. Instead, it stared curiously at the two giant animals as though it had just discovered two oversized relatives.
Both tigers raised their heads at the same time and quietly watched the fearless visitor approach.
The white cat stopped in front of them, tilted its head, and asked calmly,
“Are you two cats as well?”
The tigers glanced at each other in surprise.
One of them replied proudly,
“Yes, but we are the biggest and strongest cats in the forest.”
The little cat nodded thoughtfully. Then it walked over, rubbed its head against the first tiger’s leg, and gently pressed its cheek against the other tiger.
The two powerful tigers immediately softened. They lowered their heads to touch noses with the little cat, then moved closer together so it could sit comfortably between them.
The cat closed its eyes and curled up happily. Meanwhile, the tigers looked carefully around the forest like two professional bodyguards protecting an extremely important guest.
After a while, one tiger asked,
“Did you come here because you wanted to be our friend?”
The white cat gave a long yawn and replied,
“Not exactly. I heard there were two enormous heated pillows around here, so I came to try them.”
Both tigers froze.
The second tiger stared at the cat and asked,
“Aren’t we frightening?”
The cat snuggled deeper between their warm bodies and answered,
“Of course you are. But the weather is getting cold, and being a little scared is still better than sleeping alone.”
The two tigers looked at each other, unsure whether they should roar or laugh. In the end, they remained perfectly still and allowed the little cat to continue sleeping.
From that day on, every animal in the forest whispered that the two mighty tigers had found a new boss.
It was a tiny white cat who used them as a warm bed—and received free protection at the same time.
